G Campbell Morgan was born in 1863 in a village in Gloucester, the son of a baptist minister.
He had resigned his post in order to start a faith mission in a hired hall.
Campbell was brought up in a Christian atmosphere, preaching his first sermon at just 13!
After being rejected by both the Salvation Army and Congregationalists, he was accepted as a full-time minister. He pastored many churches, including Westminster Chapel, London.
