The Person of Christ, Volume 03 – The Lord of All by H Brash Bonsall.
The purpose of these volumes has been to introduce to the average non-academic person the field of New Testament scholarship, and to explain to the reader its terms and methods. This will provide a firm foundation for their studies in the Scripture or further studies in higher education. This, the third volume in the series concerning the Person of Christ, has as its focus, The Lord in the setting of Luke’s Gospel and the Acts of the Apostles.
The author, within the pages of this volume, seeks to present the Lord Jesus as the Jew concealed in the prophecies of the Old Testament and now revealed in the Gospel records of the New, working from heaven with His church in the Book of Acts. As the reader will discover in this book, the early church was the same as the Messianic community that clung to the Jesus of History and the church was basically the same as this group which had merely taken on a new dimension. What we see in the New Testament writing, especially in Luke and Acts, is that the Jewishness of Christ Jesus, of the early Church and Paul the Rabbi are one and the same.
