Notes on the Pentateuch, Volume 5b - Deuteronomy Part 2 - CCS by C H Mackintosh and published by Classics.
Charles Mackintosh did not set out to provide a detailed commentary on this book but rather to draw attention to scriptural principles, illustrations and examples found in Deuteronomy. Such is the value and scope of Deuteronomy that the author found it necessary to write two volumes on it. Volume 5B covers Chapters 7 – 34 the authors’ second volume on Deuteronomy continues to deal with Moses’ discourse on Israel’s history in the wilderness, their failings and God’s grace. And what is required of the people of God. As with his volumes on the earlier books of the Pentateuch, he draws out the basic truths of God’s Word, so applicable to the saints of every age.
Mackintosh’s style is warm, very readable and clear. Every reader will gain spiritually from his writings.
