Travel with William Tyndale - TDOS

Melvyn Bragg in The Adventure of English claims that William Tyndale wrote 'the most influential book there has ever been in the history of language, English or any other.' That claim is not too extravagant to describe the significance of Tyndale's translation into English of the whole of the New Testament and much of the Old from the original Greek and Hebrew. Tyndale is undoubtedly one of the greatest Englishmen ever, and all who speak this language owe him a great debt.
